Details of the gite including prices

Our stone-built French holiday cottage lies in a quiet secluded rural position, about half way between two villages near the town of Mayenne on the Normandy and Western Loire border.

The nearest village, is 2 km away and has a baker's shop, general stores, church, 2 bars, and garage. The town of Mayenne is about 10 km away.

Traffic density in the area is low, making it ideal cycling country.

The area is rich in natural wildlife with a great variety of birds and small animals. There are many places of historical or architectural interest within easy reach.

Inside

The gite is a simple old stone cottage, tastefully (we hope!) modernised. The living room
(see photo) has exposed oak beams, an inglenook fireplace with log burner and easy chairs.

The large kitchen/dining room (see photo) has exposed stone walls with beams and is fully equipped with gas cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, and so on.

The bathroom has a bath/shower, basin, toilet and automatic washing machine.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed
Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds and a cot.
Bedroom 3 has one single bed.

Guests are asked to provide their own bed linen and towels (quilts and blankets are provided). French and UK power sockets are provided in every room. A large number of maps, books and games are available for your use.

Outside

There is a third of an acre of informal natural garden, mainly grass, with trees, shrubs and wild flowers (see photo). There is a large oak picnic bench, a large barbecue and garden chairs and patio area. The house and garden are quiet and secluded, surrounded by trees and fields, with crops and cattle. The cottage is approached via its own 100 metre driveway.
